This is the first step to replicate the model that is already in place in the French and Italian Riviera where the most important locations have charging stations. The 75 kW charging station in Marina di Stabia is just the beginning of a project to create a fast charging corridor for electric boats in the area.
This corridor will connect the ports and marinas of the region, making it easier for electric boats to travel between different locations. The strategic position of Marina di Stabia in the Gulf of Naples makes it a perfect starting point for this initiative, with plans to extend the fast charging corridor to the nearby Peninsulas of Sorrento and Amalfi, as well as improving connectivity to the islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida.
The Marina di Stabia, with 789 boat berths and the capacity to accommodate superyachts up to 90 meters long, is leading the way in sustainable marine practices in the Gulf of Naples. The adoption of the Aqua superPower fast charging network positions Marina di Stabia as a pioneer in promoting sustainable boating practices in the region.
The network is accessible through the Aqua app or RFID card, providing users with a map of charging options. This initiative aims to make emission-free boat excursions more accessible in the Gulf of Naples, paving the way for a more sustainable maritime industry in the region.
